The intensity rose another level at the 2026 Kano NPA International Polo Tournament as teams battled for places in the next stage. AA Polo and MH Gano produced one of the day’s most dramatic contests, with MH Gano fighting their way back to secure a 5–4½ victory. It was a determined comeback and arguably their strongest performance of the tournament so far, as they refused to let the match slip away. Elsewhere, Rima defeated Nigeria Police 11–3, Brick Cola overcame Keystone 11–3½, while Titan/KEDCO beat Mohsons 10–5½ in another high-scoring encounter.
The Dantata Cup delivered more drama as Musaco returned to complete their suspended match against Gilasoismanaf, finishing with a 7–3 victory. The day’s biggest battle, however, came when Ibah Oil & Gas met a fired-up Max Air side. The contest was played at relentless pace, with both teams answering pressure with pressure and goals coming almost from the opening whistle. Reeza produced a hat-trick for Max Air as Ibah Oil & Gas pushed them all the way, but Max Air eventually secured an 11–7 victory on their return to Kano after a two-year absence. With the Dantata Cup and Mrs Cup now moving into their semi-final stages, the tournament continues to build momentum while the Dangote Cup and Emir of Kano Cup are still ahead, promising another chapter of top-level polo in Kano.
