The General Hassan Cup at the IBB Polo Ground in Minna produced a thrilling contest as Iyatu Farms and Sabiq Farms battled to a 4-4 draw in a game filled with attacking polo, intensity and momentum swings.
Neither side was willing to give an inch, with both teams repeatedly pushing forward and answering each other's attacks. The result was an open and fiercely contested match that kept the crowd engaged as the score continued to move in both directions.
When Moddibo Wadada found the net for Iyatu Farms, the IBB Polo Ground erupted, with supporters roaring in celebration. His goal added another memorable moment to an already lively encounter, as the Iyatu faithful made their voices heard.
Sabiq Farms, however, proved every bit as determined, responding to the pressure and ensuring Iyatu Farms could never establish lasting control. The two sides continued trading goals until the final whistle, with neither able to find the decisive strike that would separate them.
After the match, Moddibo spoke to YaxSportlens about the demanding contest, describing it as one of the toughest games he had played because of the quality and aggressive approach of the opposition.
“It was one of my toughest games because we played against a tough, aggressive opponent, but Alhamdulillah.”
Wadada also dedicated his performance and the result to his wife and his teammates, recognising the support behind him both on and away from the polo field.
